But think about this. In the Mill...Welllll...maybe. But think about this. In the Millennium Kingdom the Bible describes a physical, actual temple (Ezek 40:5 and onward to chap 48). We had the wilderness Tabernacle, Solomon's Temple, Zerubbabel's temple (Ezra describes this), the Tribulation temple where antichrist will stop the sacrifices and perform the Abomination of Desolation (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15) and Ezekiel's Temple verses noted above.

And the New Jerusalem is a city and not a temple. "But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. Rev 21:22-23

When we are saved (justified) Christ sends His Spirit to us to dwell in us and conform us to Him. This is called sanctification and it begins upon salvation and is completed at glorification.

I don't know exactly what you mean by "Holy Wisdom" but the Spirit illuminates God's word in us as we are being sanctified. As we grow, we grow in wisdom as well.

James says that we can ask for wisdom and it will be given to us without reproach (James 1:5).

I love to discuss things, so thanks for commenting. Next time, it would be helpful for me is you include Bible verses and addresses so I can better understand what you're saying. :)Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-91828469085610803422018-01-02T11:31:20.234-05:002018-01-02T11:31:20.234-05:00The New Jerusalem is the third temple of God built...The New Jerusalem is the third temple of God built in our hearts. The first temple was the physical temple built by Solomon, and the last temple is the body of Christ. Christ is coming the second time to transform us to become like him.

God's temple in the body of Christ was Holy Wisdom; therefore we will all be filled with Holy Wisdom like Christ at the second coming of the Lord.Johnhttp://www.thenewheavenandnewearth.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-38047632814012429662015-09-19T11:32:44.653-04:002015-09-19T11:32:44.653-04:00Thank you for your comments. I understand your poi...Thank you for your comments. I understand your point. Here is my reasoning for re-publishing Dore's 1850s piece of art. I know you may still disagree and that is OK

Jesus is not in the picture so the 2nd command was not violated

The point I'd wanted to make in the essay is that New Jerusalem is concrete, a real place. I wanted to emphasize that by putting a picture up. Modern representations are just silly. Usually the older art is better.

The bible describes the City concretely. I know we can't imagine what He has prepared, but in this case, we can and we should. He specficially told us in His word. Now of course the actuality isn't possible to imagine fully, but I believe that when Jesus took the time to concretely and specifically put in the bible the actual look and dimensions of the city, that it's edifying to ponder it. (Philippians 4:8). We are not going beyond scripture but praising Him in what scripture has already revealed.

nevertheless I thank you for your comment because it is thought provoking and it's good to be carefulElizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-24617147343096042532015-09-19T10:17:24.310-04:002015-09-19T10:17:24.310-04:00As this world gets more evil and insane, I am long...As this world gets more evil and insane, I am longing for that city more and more. Every day I see things that make me say, "Lord, get us out of here." I have let go of this world. The rapture appears to be soon, and I certainly hope it truly is.

God will prepare a place for us based on our changed, perfected hearts according to His design. I don't believe I will carry any of my current desires from my fallen nature into that glorious realm.

I don't believe the picture is beneficial at all. Nothing man can imagine can possibly be accurate and can only do an injustice to the actuality of what God Himself has prepared. I believe it is foolishness for man to even attempt it. I don't believe in putting false images into people's minds, including movies and the like. The intent may be good, but the outcome is inaccurate.
