That's a good question, somethi...Hi Anonymous,

That's a good question, something a lot of people have been asking in various places and on various boards. I went through that thought process myself. Here is the decision I made:

No.

I am not stocking up any more than I usually do when getting groceries each week. Three years ago I did get a burden to stock up a bit, and I kept the stuff for a year, and then the economic crash came. I felt really good I had done that because food prices inflated and I was able to deliver a lot of food to the food pantries that I would never have been able to afford by then.

As a rule I do not think we should stock up for ourselves for these reasons:

“Do not store up treasures on Earth but instead store up treasure in Heaven” (Matt. 6:19-21) and, “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or wear, but seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” (Matt. 6:25-34).

Our larder is not the way to get through the hard times that have come upon all of us. Leaning totally on the Lord, IS. I'd advise each person to pray on the subject and get peace from the Spirit for yourselves.

:)Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-5887978952718799022011-11-13T13:13:46.632-05:002011-11-13T13:13:46.632-05:00Do you think we should stock up on food and necess...Do you think we should stock up on food and necessities just in case this scenario happens before the rapture?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-77609314400047819042011-11-09T20:57:46.630-05:002011-11-09T20:57:46.630-05:00Shows how easy it will be for the world to fall in...Shows how easy it will be for the world to fall into the arms of the antichrist....except those who know what is coming...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-78916668258548268512011-11-09T19:50:54.926-05:002011-11-09T19:50:54.926-05:00I am so wanting to get to watch this over the next...I am so wanting to get to watch this over the next couple of weeks! God has promised to protect His people and provide what is needed, be it safety or strength to endure to the end. When the trials come, He has promised to be with us through them. I'm reminded of the old hymn, which seems to be based on Psalm 23, 'God Leads Us Along':

"In shady, green pastures, so rich and so sweet,
God leads His dear children along;
Where the water’s cool flow bathes the weary one’s feet,
God leads His dear children along.

Refrain:
Some through the waters, some through the flood,
Some through the fire, but all through the blood;
Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song,
In the night season and all the day long.

Sometimes on the mount where the sun shines so bright,
God leads His dear children along;
Sometimes in the valley, in darkest of night,
God leads His dear children along.

Though sorrows befall us and evils oppose,
God leads His dear children along;
Through grace we can conquer, defeat all our foes,
God leads His dear children along.

Away from the mire, and away from the clay,
God leads His dear children along;
Away up in glory, eternity’s day,
God leads His dear children along.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-52025779364919149562011-11-08T15:59:48.676-05:002011-11-08T15:59:48.676-05:00Geoff, It's a good thought. I watched an interesting show on Fast Food restaurants, and the billions of tons they ship in french fries and meat, and it is all handled by logistics centers which rely on computers. Same with oil deliveries, or shipments of *anything*, it all goes thru the internet now. If the electricity stops, the internet goes out. But what I learned in this video documentary about the pandemic is that when the workers die from plague there is no one around to maintain the internet and it goes out even when the electricity is still ON.Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-27443434300726669552011-11-08T10:13:27.283-05:002011-11-08T10:13:27.283-05:00Here's a thought.
