Here is an explanation on reddit from a tech who is used to snow:<br /><br />"So.... I'm a refrigeration tech in Canada and I have to deal with ice and frost build up all the time. I can tell you from experience that it takes a boat load of time to melt snow and ice with fire. I could see that the snow ball was melting, just at a very slow rate. As for the fact the water wasn't dripping off, it was soaking into the snow ball. To do a true test of the snow try filling a pail with snow and fill it with cold water, stir it around until you have a slush and put a thermometer into the mix. If it reads 32F or 0C you can prove it is snow. Keep in mind it does have to be a water/snow mix. "<br /><br />This guy refutes/rejects/explains the supposed conspiracy on youtube:<br />https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moa2wU4IUA4<br /><br />Snow is frozen water and air, and there is a lot of air in snow. When you melt it, you're turning it into less expanded liquid previously occupied by air. You're melting water but it happens slowly and the melted snow just seeps into the cracks previously occupied by air.<br /><br />No conspiracy. Please stand down.Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-32129427636609651752014-01-30T10:52:07.502-05:002014-01-30T10:52:07.502-05:00Can someone please explain this

Though I'm blessed to be able to stay at home today in this ice and cold, many of my friends asked for prayers for direct relatives who were/are stuck in that Atlanta traffic. Who knows, it could be me next time.Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-87457849329129197152014-01-29T13:41:48.279-05:002014-01-29T13:41:48.279-05:00I've never seen those snow rollers before. I'm also thinking about getting 4-wheel drive on my next truck. Emergency kits, prepackaged food, etc. wouldn't be a bad idea to have on hand either.Brad Wisenoreply@blogger.com
