Growing up, I really didn't view the Bible as history--but rather "stories" that Christians believed but not necessarily based on anything factual. Since God began to do a sanctifying work in me I want to know everything in his Word and it's amazing how much education takes place by simply reading the Bible with my children--history, obviously, beautiful writing, character, science...and why should I be surprised? It's from the Creator of everything and he tells us that within its pages he has given us what we need.<br /><br />Even more profound than archaeology proving Scripture to be true is what you said about if Jesus really lived and did miracles then it's also true that he came to warn sinners to repent.
