He also believes that Jesus will return only once - on the Day of the Lord - and argues that the belief in an earlier 'secret' rapture only became popular after 1830 following public disclosure of an extra-biblical revelation. John, a man of God who is completely familiar with the sovereignty of Jesus, fell on his face to worship an angel. The angel then commanded John to "do not do it." That the angels are servants like us, never to be revered.

There is good reason for this. Lucifer and his clan are angels too. We are ill equipped to differentiate between good or bad angels, or worse, we just bow down and worship any angel we see regardless because of their power to create awe in us. This is why I believe God came in the form of a man. He could of sent an angel but he didn't. God knows Lucifer's desire to be worshiped and the last thing Lucifer would do is exalt a man. So that is what God did. He exalted one man to take the burden of sin for us all. When my 97-year-old mother died in February, I was close to her and right before her entrance into heaven, a sweet smile crossed her face. She had often asked the Lord for the angels to accompany her "home." Thank you, Elizabeth. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
