I "get" what you are saying, but I think that you are loving in that you serve the Lord with diligence, and so many benefit from your gifts, all wrapped up in the very individual way God made you. As to your concerns related to the link with it, I deleted that part of the comment- the link and the comment about the link but as you can see, I kept the rest. Is that all right? Will that relieve your concern? I appreciate your care. :)Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-42861944494622695282014-08-05T18:13:27.084-04:002014-08-05T18:13:27.084-04:00Thanks for this very informative essay Elizabeth. ...Thanks for this very informative essay Elizabeth. I am learning a lot about autism from you and yes, definitely will be more aware now that I know more. This essay is very helpful. While I don’t have Asperger’s I certainly can appreciate a lot of what you are explaining, especially about being a loner, finding it exhausting to be around people, especially groups. The Scriptures you highlighted are perfect, culminating in the perfect example of what Romans 12:4-8 looks like in everyday life in the church. Your love of the Bible is obvious and that is indeed a gift from God. I certainly have benefited from how you contribute to the body of Christ!

“All people sin all the time but most people have a particular sin that they need God's daily help to conquer.” My particular sin for decades is fear, attacks of fear. Personally I don’t like to use the worldly terminology because for me, it tends to draw a person into the worldly knowledge, philosophies, psychologies, answers, etc and away from the Bible. But, the worldly term would be ‘panic disorder/agoraphobia’. I have struggled with this since my very early 20’s which is when it became crippling. And yet I knew I had to love and be among people of which I struggle daily with this command. I’ve run out of the church on a Sunday or at Bible study not due to wanting to be alone, but having a NEED to be alone and away from all the stimulus. Certainly not because I didn’t love my brothers and sisters in Christ. I often draw comfort from godly men like A W Tozer who said halfway through his sermon entitled “Ecumenical Movement” that while he loved the Lord’s people he was a very nervous man and sometimes couldn’t spend a lot of time with people. He says as long as we keep near the Shepherd we will keep near to other sheep. The Holy Spirit keeps us together. The whole sermon is informative and beautiful.

It is for the glory of God to have fellowship with other brothers and sisters. And yes, ALL glory goes to God because I KNOW personally I am incapable of doing the things He commands but He is able, Praise God!Colettenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-22023055348045259642014-08-04T11:04:42.375-04:002014-08-04T11:04:42.375-04:00This was really edifying.
