Of course false teacher...Hello Mr or Ms Mansfield,

Of course false teachers will say the “right” things and of course Mr Graham said pray and ask Jesus into your life (an invitation that in itself isn’t as biblical as it sounds- nowhere does the bible say that is how we are saved, it is Christianese which often leads to easy believism). However, that aside, Mr Graham said specifically told several different interviewers over a period of years and was specifically confirmed in writing that he believes people who don’t know Jesus or have not heard the Gospel will be saved. This is ecumenism and it is also a ‘wider mercy’ doctrine, both of which are false.

Yes Jesus knows our hearts, but He also said we "WILL" know the false ones by their fruit.(Mt 7:16) The two notions are not mutually exclusive. I'm sorry but it seems that this is one of the reason's why people turn away from Christianity due to the fact that other's make evangelist's look wrong in their teaching's and are discredited. He lead many people to Christ and I was also so moved by My Hope America that I prayed the Lord's prayer again into my life. Mr Graham believes that Jesus is not the only way, among other foundational errors. Paul rebuked the divining slave girl even though on the surface, what she was speaking was truth. The proof that God exists has been clearly revealed to all! Romans 1:19 states: "For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." It doesn't matter where you live or what position you hold, all men are without excuse and God's Wrath remains on them because they have sinned against a Holy God.Leslie Sneddonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11134309148005672747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-41914084317974211362013-10-22T07:46:32.920-04:002013-10-22T07:46:32.920-04:00I always hold out hope that the Lord reveals himse...I always hold out hope that the Lord reveals himself one final time before those who don't know Jesus die so that they might be like the man who was crucified next to Jesus. It's never too late, praise God. But that never negates the fact that you must die to self and be born again through Jesus, even if that happens on your death bed. That said, that is a risky assumption to make and we should always evangelize the lost as if they may die today, because in fact they might. Our testimony might be that very last time the person hears the gospel before they walk out and get hit by a bus.

Regarding Graham's comments on good and evil early in his career. That gives me great pause. God has laid upon my heart and I have submissively wrote a thesis that I share often called, "Woe to us when good defeats evil." The general premise is that Satan perpetuates evil (such as Nazism, Communism, Islamic terrorism) not so that evil wins, but to provoke a humanist response of "good" to overcome. And its this moral good without the foundation of Christ that Satan molds into the antichrist ecumenical world system which will ensnare many lukewarm christians.

Those who evangelize for the uncompromising authentic Christ will find themselves pushed to the fringe and lumped in with other extremists views as enemies of the state.hopeful_watcherhttps://sites.google.com/site/woetous/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-8968380966409564842013-10-21T07:06:20.388-04:002013-10-21T07:06:20.388-04:00We are "narrow minded" because that is h...We are "narrow minded" because that is how God said He will work. He set the limits. It is not up to us to widen them. My answer to you is Romans 10:13-14

"for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." 14How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"

God won't violate His own standards and save those who have not repented and called upon Him, who is the only way

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6.

In this case, narrow minded is apt, because Jesus said the way is narrow. Well, guess what, Paul's exposition in Romans 1 and 2 deals with this difficult subject of whether the gentiles who have never heard of the Law (Torah) are judged by the same standards. Paul said their conscience "bears witness" to this Law and are judged by the same standards but that barring clear revelation, gentiles should at least try to follow the dictates of their conscience and glorify God, however limited their understanding of Him may be. I believe with all my heart that salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and that's why I strive to share the gospel however way I can to the world. BUT...I agree with Billy Graham that we must trust God to administer fair judgment to everyone, including those who had lived and died in remote places of the world without ever hearing the clear-cut truth of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we must have the wisdom to understand these things and not come to hasty conclusions and pass cheap judgments in an attempt to discredit great men and women of God who are doing their share of spreading the gospel. Ravi Zacharias was asked the same thing and he wisely said, "Why don't you trust the judge of all the earth to do that which is right. You follow Him and He will help you right the lives that are born in different worldviews and leave eternal judgment to Him. Thank God it is not up to you or to me."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-44092085066433365232013-10-20T23:32:11.701-04:002013-10-20T23:32:11.701-04:00So glad to see that the watchman is truly watching...So glad to see that the watchman is truly watching! :) The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us into ALL truth! I'm sad too, Mr Graham is nearing the end of his life, and I am not at all sure he is headed for heaven or if he will be one of those who say to the Lord on that day, Lord, Lord! (Matthew 7:21-23)

I am pretty much done writing the second part, I'll post it Monday evening. I took today 'off', instead enjoying a tremendous worship at my home church, and listened to some of the Strange Fire sermons afterward.
