I truly enjoyed reading it. Like you, I started out reading along with Tim Challies's "Reading The Classics" group which was going through John Flavel's "The Mystery of Providence"; but I got way behind. Yet I am still interested and intend to follow through with the reading on my own time frame. Your post today was not only an enjoyable true story, but also a great example of the mystery of God's providence in our personal lives. This evening I listened to a Youtube video by Pastor Jim McClarty of Smyrna, Tennessee in which he discussed God's amazing providence in every detail over hundreds of years of compiling the Bible and protecting its integrity so that we could have assurance and confidence that it is trustworthy. This particular video is Session 3 of Pastor McClarty's series of fifty-some lessons on "Systematic Theology" and I heartily recommend it. I have just begun listening to the series but am already hooked because it is just excellent and so passionately taught. So far it reminds me of the apologetics course my own pastor teaches every Tuesday night. If you don't have time to listen to the whole series, Elizabeth, perhaps you could carve out time at least to listen to Session 3 because it exhibits the theme of the mystery God's sovereign providence that you and others are studying in the Tim Challies series of reading the classics. <br />https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V5zzRL_ZM0&list=PLthJmeH85gwMxh3HfcRlHyW5Vd41QpSHy&index=3 Ruby Isaacnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-57948156047391084482015-07-19T09:30:22.010-04:002015-07-19T09:30:22.010-04:00Neat story!
