(I haven't clicked on a youtube link in a long time since I generally use the internet in public locations and don't have headphones, so I found the transcript you provided helpful since I didn't click the video) The way Bentley proceeded with a "nice guy" damage control routine afterwards was disgusting. So sleazy. If you didn't tell me who he was and just gave that part of the clip, I might be wary but I couldn't find what was wrong with it. That realization is scary and so the work of guys like Justin Peters, Todd Friel and even Ken Ham himself (does a great job challenging big-league contenders on his ministry blog) is immensely helpful and I'm very grateful for the informative role they play.Hakam Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10114741274619345717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-65166458689284026202014-06-09T21:23:31.540-04:002014-06-09T21:23:31.540-04:00thanks, ali!thanks, ali!Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-63853059167407390442014-06-09T12:57:22.987-04:002014-06-09T12:57:22.987-04:00Fantastic article. To know there are men of the faith out there in the wider church body, willing to stand for Christ, and in such truthful and loving but courageously bold ways, is a balm to the soul. I'm humbled to share the Light of Jesus with men like this, and brethren like you. Sometimes it's easy to forget we're in a global church, I know I do, and I like to be reminded from time to time by blessed events like these!Elizabeth Pratahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341086233512507156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-37688684536403207112014-06-09T10:20:08.936-04:002014-06-09T10:20:08.936-04:00Praise God. I'd heard of Justin Peters through Todd's Wretched program, and heard a clip aired from, I believe it was Strange Fire, where they were talking. This account is phenomenal; it's so encouraging to hear about it. And I must say, though those evil men may be possessed by demons, Peters is possessed by Someone much greater. I don't mean verbal plenary inspiration, I mean that he like all of us have the Holy Spirit in us and are bought with a price. So they can do nothing to Justin Peters (which just *sounds* like an apostle or first-century martyr's/Church father's name, doesn't it?) that God doesn't will to let them do.

Have you ever thought of yourself as, at least from time to time, providing a ministry of encouragement? :)Hakam Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10114741274619345717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-45535250063592932662014-06-09T08:26:36.141-04:002014-06-09T08:26:36.141-04:00Eph 4

These men all clearly demonstrate that gift.

-CarolynAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-4553711981656013692014-06-07T01:53:09.118-04:002014-06-07T01:53:09.118-04:00It is hard hard hard to confront those steeped in ...It is hard hard hard to confront those steeped in false doctrine without going into attack mode. And you are absolutely right, Elizabeth. You have to pray and consciously and deliberately allow the Holy Spirit to lead you every single step of the way.

If I ever get a tattoo (I won't, trust me, but I'm just saying...), I would get one on the back of my hand that says:

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you *with meekness and fear*." (1 Peter 3:15)

I'd also highlight the bold part.

Actually, if I went that far, I'd probably add the next verse on my other hand:

"Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, *they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ*." (1 Peter 3:16)

Complete with highlight. Maybe in a gothic script with some vines as flourishes...no, scratch that. Just kidding.

As a veteran of a few "debates" on YouTube that went sour, I am slowly beginning to learn that if you can keep your flesh locked in the closet (or better yet, nailed to the cross) and let the Holy Spirit do the talking, He can actually use you to influence someone rather than simply make them angrier and more determined to persist in their errant belief.Greghttp://www.alittlestrength.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736720231951988221.post-57670950307651391622014-06-06T18:54:05.885-04:002014-06-06T18:54:05.885-04:00The vid reminds me of the "false prophetess&q...The vid reminds me of the "false prophetess" dayna muldoon video. She spoke healing on him or something like that on this pastor but when he called her out for what she was in front of the church, she took it back and called him an anti christ i think ( havent watched the vid in a while). Poor man had to be escorted out. Some people in the audience were very agressive towards the people who attended the mans church who were there as guests. It take courage and trust in God to confront these people. Though i hope my courage will grow eventually if i dont do anything at least i can pray for those who do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
