In the Olivet Discourse, the Apostles sat with Jesus atop the Mount of Olives and asked Him the time of His coming and the signs of His coming. Jesus declined to say exactly when, only that He will come at a time we do not expect. But He spent a great deal of time explicitly describing the signs of His coming. Jesus opened with an admonition not to be deceived. (Matthew 24:4).
In that discourse (NIV, KJV) Jesus uses the word “deceive” four times, including His opening right off the bat. In the NASB the word is “mislead,” used four times. Paul wrote to the Thessalonians in describing the rapture and the times of the end, also urges them not to be deceived. (2 Thess 2:3) “Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed”
Paul also mentioned deception upon deception in his 2nd letter to Timothy 3:13 “But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.”
Deception again: "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:13).
Why all this focus on deception? Because the unsaved are already deceived, and the increasingly lukewarm Christians can possibly be deceived. Remember, Lucifer was the top angel, a directly created being, made by God. We are not directly created. Lucifer hates humans and has spent the last 6 millennia developing ways to thwart God’s plans. Are we smarter than God’s top angel? NO! Has satan had 6000 years to study us and develop stratagems to deceive us? YES. Does satan and his minions have the power to do lying signs and wonders? YES. (2Thess 2:9)
In the time of the end, people will be deceived by their very eyes unless they are firmly rooted in GOD’S WORD. The unsaved are easily deceived, but by no means are Christians exempt from satan’s attempts to deceive us, either (Mt 24:24). We have been warned to stay in the faith, stay with our eyes on Jesus, and to stay true in His Word. The only safety is our position in Christ, forgiven and under His hand.

I believe that the enemy is and will use the ideology and sensational and experiential events people are witnessing for a grand deception that will aid in steering people into the misperception and delusion for the necessity of a one world order. I have written on this myself (my blog entries are not as neat and concise as yours unfortunately, a bit exhaustive I'm afraid), and perhaps you might like to check them out - and your readership as well. May the LORD bless and keep you by His Spirit of grace, in JESUS Name!
