Here is a roundup of some links and thoughts for you.
Eric Metaxas essay: "Screwtape on 'The Da Vinci Code'. A funny send up if CS Lewis's famous character Screwtape (a demon) were to extol the virtues of the Da Vinci Code novel from his darkened and hellish perspective. Many parallels to issues with today's Gnosticism and superficial thinkers accepting the original lie: there's more and I'm here to show you. Plus, it's funny. To wit:
"Indeed the mystical sleight-of-hand involved in shoehorning so many cubic yards of gasbag cliches, shopworn half-truths and straightfaced howlers into a single volume simply beggars belief; and if I didn’t know that the author had had unwitting “help” from my former colleague, the venerable Gallstone, I simply shouldn’t believe it could have been done at all!"

Here's one- I had never heard of rainbow eucalyptus trees.

According to DumbLaws.com, in Vermont it is illegal to deny the existence of God. The law might have been on the books but it certainly didn't reach the heart, because Vermont is today this nation's most Godless state.
--Silent Running
--Gattaca
--Serenity (movie epilogue from the television show Firefly)
--Dark City
--Primer (this is #1 underrated movie, he said)
I'm not a huge fan of modern science fiction because it has gotten bloody. But I did enjoy (pre-salvation) Terminator 1 & 2, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, Metropolis and of course Star Trek.

Lately I have enjoyed End of the Spear, The First Grader, The Way (n a sad way because it shows the futility of life without Christ, an inadvertent message from the movie, I am sure), The Stranger with Orson Welles, Microcosmos, and That Guy...Who Was in That Thing (some language).
