It's raining, and very cool for August, only 65 degrees. I am watching a Japanese movie called Jiro Dreams of Sushi, and the cool weather has allowed me to make my first cup of hot tea for the season.
Thank you, Elizabeth, for making yourself an available vessel for the purposes of God, as He seeks to minister to each of us through one another. I feel soooo ministered to reading your blog,in the depths of my soul. Glory to Jesus! Hallelujah!
Dear Kay, Thank YOU for your encouraging words to me, and taking the time to share yourself here. I hope you have a blessed worship day and a great week ahead :)
I watched that movie not long ago myself. Jiro certainly seems like quite a character. Kind of sad how the family seems to take a backseat to the pursuit of perfection though. That being said, I would love to have the opportunity to try that man's sushi.
I thought the same, Brian, that he lost an opportunity to be a father, and for what, in favor of fish. I was sad when he said "I want to be the top, but nobody knows where the top is." With Christ, we know *why* we serve, with Buddhism, there is only uncertainty and in the end, despair. However, I admire his skill and like you, the movie made me hungry for fish!!
