Idolatry Cut Off

2“And on that day, declares the Lord of hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, so that they shall be remembered no more. And also I will remove from the land the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness." (Zechariah 13:1-3)

  1. Why are they going to build a new temple and start sacrificing animals again? God does not want that - He already sent Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for sin. Killing animals in a temple where they do not worship the one true God is nothing more than idolatry. There is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ, not some animal killed and burned on an altar, no matter what dispensation you happen to live within. I cannot fathom why Christians think this is such a wonderful thing! Religious Jews do not worship the one true God - they rejected Him and His Son 2000 years ago. Satan has greatly deceived the Church with this lie.

    1. Because the length of the prophesied years of the covenant (490) was cut off at 483 when Jesus arrived,. The last 7 years after the rapture is a resumption of the Old Testament, in effect.

Satan hasn't deceived anyone with a lie about this. It is in the bible, unless you consider the bible a lie. Daniel clearly says that the antichrist will stop the sacrifices halfway into the Tribulation (Dan 12:11) and break the peace treaty covenant he made with the Jews. (Dan 9:27b). Though the Jews returned to covenant relationship with God at the Gog Magog War (Ezekiel 38) they will not have recognized Jesus as messiah yet. So they resume sacrifices in daily atonement for sins and in expectant waiting for the Messiah.

It is only toward the end of the Tribulation that they realize Jesus is Messiah and was the sacrifice all along, and THEN "all Israel will be saved." (Is 45:17; Zech 13:8).

TO further burst your balloon, there will be sacrifices in the Millennium too, lol

  2. Daniel 9:27 (NIV)
[27] He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him".
