This morning I re-posted a Rapture Ready essay called The Great Lie, by Carl Worline. In it, the author discussed an upcoming big budget Hollywood movie in which aliens have come to earth, and suck people up into their light. The author had made the supposition that though we do not know what 'the great lie' is that Paul describes in the bible, one possible answer for what the great lie may be is the explanation given to people after the rapture, that aliens sucked up people into the light. Here is the verse: "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all the powers and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness in them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
I don't know what the great lie is, though more likely the lie is that the antichrist is the Messiah. However, there will need to be an explanation for the rapture, and the aliens taking us all is as good an explanation as any. We do know without a doubt that satan is working overtime these days to oppress the human population with satanic ideas. This movie is one of those satanic ideas. See if you don't agree with me after reading the next few sentences:
Since this morning, I have looked at the trailer myself, and note with interest that there are several places where taglines are inserted. A few seconds into the movie, in a scene where a man and woman are awakened at 4:37 am by a weird bright light, he goes to the window to check it out, and he disappears. Another guy comes running in asking what happened. The tearful and petrified woman cries, "he just...disappeared!"
A few seconds later, a tagline of white block print over a black screen says "You haven't seen the light."
At the end of the trailer, after many more people from the earth are sucked up into the light, the tagline says, "Don't look up."
What the bible says about the Light is the following: "Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light." (John 12:36) and "For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," (2 Corinthians 4:6) and of course, Isaiah 9:2, The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;" but this movie tells us 'we haven't seen the light'.
The other scriptural parallel to the movie's taglines is its command, 'don't look up.' It is the exact opposite of the command of what Jesus told us to do, He said to look up. "So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!" (Luke 21:28)
To sum up: satan's movie Skyline tells us that being sucked up into the light is horrible, not to look at it, and that we haven't seen it. That after the mass disappearances the united, the remaining population must make "our last stand". Got it? No!

You might be the dumbest person alive. And I'm a God fearing Christian.
ReplyDeleteIt's highly amusing that you don't see the cognitive dissonance and philosophic tension between your two statements. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHappened this past weekend- are they coming???? I live in PA and NOTHING on the news:

Great post Elizabeth...and I agree. I just listened to the most recent futurequake show and they were discussing Hollywood's gnostic agenda..this post dovetails right into it.
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA HA HA. Love your response to the above Elizabeth. You've got a Great sense of humor, love it. Anyway, I read this post and stopped dead in my tracks, as the other night I had a dream that someone told me in the dream that if you eat at 4:30 and then make love, you would concieve. I then woke up and thought, that was weird and I looked at the clock and it was 4:37. I kept feeling like the number 437 meant something for the last few days and couldn't get it out of my mind for some reason and then I read your post today and saw the 4:37 a.m. inference and thought, whoa, now what does this all mean...Anyway...Thank you as always for your discernment and diligence in posting the things the Lord gives you to share with us and the heart to do it. Amen!
ReplyDeleteJesus isnt real. Humans have brains to figure this out. I suggest you try using yours for to further humanity and not try to chain it to past ignorance. Until whatever or whoever created this universe comes forward, which it wont, its humanity's responsibility to flourish and create our own perfection in the universe. Its time for the old ideological ideals to be put to rest and for a new world to begin. If you ever want to make it, you best correct your stupidity and open your mind.
ReplyDeleteyou have to approve my comments? what kind of site is this?
ReplyDeletecoward.
Hi Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteYes, I approve or delete all comments. It has nothing to do with fear or cowardice. Sometimes people are uncivil. Some people, believe it or not, call other people names, like "coward". So I moderate for profanity, relative interest, and civility. I hope your next comments make the cut.
To Anonymous who does not believe Jesus is real:
ReplyDeleteStupid is as stupid does.
Hi elizabeth! I just started reading your blog, it's great, keep up the good work! The anon comment left me really cold...I used to be friends with atheists, agnostics, etc and I've never heard such an odd approach to disbelief in God. This quote was really weird, "Its time for the old ideological ideals to be put to rest and for a new world to begin." You might be on a watchlist because you are seriously on point and on top of what is really happening in the world while so many are asleep. I know it sounds farfetched but it definitely happens.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I've seen commercials for this movie here and there, not so much since I cut out TV from my life but seeing those screencaps definitely made me realize that after the rapture, people will probably reference this movie to try to explain what has happened out of desperation.
You are all a bunch of idiots. I just read this post and all the comments and relized that everyone is trying to tie religious references to a movie ment for entertainment. Really for those of you who have nothing better to do than try to explain everything with religion really have no belief. It's about faith in what you believe. I'm not Cristian, I'm spiritual. Those who try to "save" anothers eternal soul by converting them, or believe that killing the "heathens" is the right thing to do than you are quite mistaken. Every religion has their own beliefs and those beliefs will always contradict. If anyone paid attention to Nostradames then notice that he never syas the world is ending just that life as we know it is going to change. What it is, we don't know. And if you paid attention top your bible you'll notice that God made a promise that he would not destroy the Earth or cause a flood to extinguish life. One other point I have is this, if you think Satanism is a pagan religion go bang your head against a wall. Its a brach of Cristianity. There's only three religions that believe in hell.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous above, you would have a lot more credibility if you did not open your argument with an insult.
ReplyDeleteThe bible does say that Jesus will destroy the earth: 2 Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
The LORD renews the earth, after He destroys the old one: Revelation 21:1 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."
The reference to the flood was a promise made to Noah that never again would He destroy the earth with a FLOOD, not that He wouldn't destroy the earth. Genesis 9:11 "I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
As for the movies being "just entertainment", all media is ultimately meant to persuade. Else why is so much money spent on ads? It all has a message, and the body of messages that are being sent now thru all media are contrary to God's message. 'Satanism' is not a religion, he is a person, influencing you even now. You can be spiritual all you want but unless you repent of your sins by saying sorry and accepting that Jesus died for those sins and rose again from the dead, you will be in hell for all eternity pondering your "spirituality." Consider yourself warned.
This disappoints me as a God-fearing Christian. Instead of coming up with absurd links between satanism and movies try spending your spare time with God. This movie has nothing to do with religion, satanism, God, or anything, it's a movie; and it was a lame one at that. The religious zealots like you are what give all Christians a bad name and drive people away form Christ. Your type of "Christian" ranks right up there with Westboro Baptist Church.
ReplyDeleteSince you are a God-fearing Christian, you understand that satan permeates every aspect of our lives, prowling around seeking whom he may devour. He influences the media, which in turn influences many malleable minds. It is obvious as our television, movie and book publishing culture has declined to crap within one generation. This is not a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteYes I am a zealot, for Jesus. I am sorry that my having an opinion about a movie makes you embarrassed. Perhaps you should develop a thicker skin.
Yes I understand that, but you tried to make it sound as if the directors of this movie created it as a satanic brainwashing to keep people from looking up in the sky for God. It's a sci-fi alien invasion movie for pete's sake!
ReplyDeletePropaganda IS brainwashing. I noted the parallels in a movie of an event soon to occur and the likely satanic twist the Princes of this earth will likely put on it. When it comes to media, I NEVER take it for granted, saying, it's only a movie, or it's only a book. It ALL counts. How do you want to spend your time- supporting ungodly messages? Not me. How do you want to spend your money? Supporting ungodly causes? Not me. The media either agrees with God or it agrees with satan. Sin is creeping, it begins with thoughts and leads to fortresses.
ReplyDeleteGod-fearing Christians will never be afraid to look up for our redemption.
Anonymous, here is a link that describes how the world is a satanic system and why we God-fearing Christians should put on our armor. I'm assuming you undoubtedly read the bible, so you will be comforted to know that this sermon is sound and biblical, with scriptures.
