Gay history now a required course in CA elementary schools

Today, this news from California. A bill passed the assembly mandating that public schools teach gay history.

"Gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people would be added to the lengthy list of social and ethnic groups that public schools must include in social studies lessons under a landmark bill passed Thursday by the California Senate. If the bill is adopted by the state Assembly and signed by Gov. Jerry Brown, California would become the first state to require the teaching of gay history. ... [S]tarting in the 2013-14 school year, it would prohibit districts and the California Board of Education from using textbooks or other instructional materials that reflect adversely on gay, bisexual and transgender Americans."

This isn't good.

God always judges sin, and individual sinners who have not repented and asked forgiveness will spend eternity away from Him, in hell. This is a reality. No matter how often and with how many books the lost and the Christians in Name Only publish and which try to twist the scriptures to say something different, it is the unalterable truth. Unforgiven sin = hell. Repentance = forgiveness.

God hates all sins, but He mentions a few in particular more often than others. One of the sins that God hates is homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22-25, Jude 1:7-8; 1 Corinthians 6:9 are just a few of the verses that say God promises homosexuals will not inherit eternal life.

More than the individual, though, God also judges peoples and nations. Is American due for judgment? Yes, and not just because of this particular bill in CA. We have banned prayer in public schools, legalized abortion, accepted a gender re-definement and promoted homosexuality. We have become greedy (The Fed, Wall Street) and we fail to care for the poor. Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboim were judged for these things. Four cities were smited that day, a day when God deemed He had had enough of all of those sins.

"Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good." (Ezekiel 16:49-50). Pride, greediness, laziness, non-compassion for the poor, and homosexuality were their crimes, and one fine day those cities were no more.

When a nation's people individually wallow in sin, it is offensive to God. But when a nation collectively and AS a nation legalizes, promotes, codifies into law, and worse, perverts the minds of the young with its sins, then it is a higher plane of offense to the Almighty. We have been blessed, but since the mid 1960s we have been on a national downward slide as a nation. Our only reason for continued blessing and the only reason for a stay of deserved execution, in my opinion, has come from Genesis 12:3. God said He would bless the nations that bless Abraham's people, and curse the nations that curse Abraham's people. Abraham's people are the Jews and their nation is Israel. For many years, throughout our moral decline, we have still received blessing due to the fact that we have always staunchly defended Israel.

But watch out, things may soon change.

Clinton: Obama to reveal peace plan soon
"The United States plans a new push to promote comprehensive Arab-Israeli peace, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday, suggesting a stronger US hand in trying to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."
'US will have hard time standing alone in UN'
"On Tuesday night Israeli officials estimated that efforts to prevent UN support of a unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood would prove futile ahead of a September vote on the matter. An Israeli official said: "Obama wants a Palestinian state and although the US is not interested in a unilateral declaration, it would be hard for it to stand alone in the General Assembly and vote against it."

The Middle East peace talks are going nowhere and there is a massive push in front of the scenes and behind the scenes for the UN to just get it over with and declare a Palestinian State whether Israel likes it or not. Declaring it would divide Israel and Jerusalem, something the LORD said He will never tolerate. (Joel 3:2; Gen 12:3). If the US decides to side with the UN, and not with Israel, in my opinion it would be the last straw. We would be moved from the (barely) blessed side to the cursed side of the conditional promise in Genesis 12. We would incur God's anger in ways that the world has never seen before and no, will never see again. (Mt 24:21).

And why should we not? Teaching young minds that homosexuality is normal, has a valued history, and should be seen as equal to real history offends me to the core. Imagine how much MORE it offends God. Add to that our greedy, lazy, non-compassionate, selfish, baby-killing ways and our abandonment of Israel, and we are ripe for brimstone. Check the bible, and see that He has judged for far less. Once our support for Israel goes, we go. And please pray that the rapture comes before more youth are killed in the womb or before innocent children would be exposed to homosexual perversity from the abominable state of California.

  4. First, I'd just like to say that I've enjoyed your website a great deal and I'm glad that I found it. I do have some small criticism regarding this post though.

Your statement that homosexuals will not inherit eternal life is somewhat flawed. I can see where that could be understood from the verses you reference, but the things mentioned in those verses are things many sinners are guilty of. I'm not trying to say that you are completely wrong, but by taking homosexuality out of it and saying it is unpardonable means you're also saying everything else is as well.

When Jesus died for our sins, he took all the sins of this world onto Himself, including homosexuality.

I would hate for someone who has experienced those urges in their life and has felt God leading them to Christ to become discouraged by thinking there was no possible way to be saved.

    Sorry for the lengthy comment.

    Your brother in Christ

  5. God judged Israel many times in the Bible for their sin, it would be foolishness to think He would not bring judgement down on us for our sins.

  6. Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it.

Your first sentence must be addressed firmly. You said "Your statement that homosexuals will not inherit eternal life is somewhat flawed. "

I did not say that homosexuals will not inherit the eternal life. JESUS said it. If you believe that statement to be flawed, then address the flaw to Jesus, please. Here is the verse and it could not be more clear:

"1 Corinthians 6:8-10 (New King James Version)
No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."

I also said that Jesus will judge for many sins, and that all unrepentant sin will be judged. That was clear in the article.

Finally, I also never said homosexuality nor any of the particular sins mentioned above are unpardonable. That was your word. I only said that unrepentant sinners won't go to heaven. I also took care to say that forgiven sinners will inherit the kingdom.

Everyone is sensitive about homosexuality these days. But the issue is clear: gays who have not repented will not enter heaven. Also the lazy, proud, and non-compassionate toward the poor. I am not saying these things, Jesus is. I included the verse addresses so that any person being a good Berean can and should look them up.

I wrote about homosexuality in this case because that was the news. I'd rather a brother in Christ like yourself not parse words and dance around the subject, taking what I'd said out of context and putting words in my mouth I did not say, but rather be righteously angry that the youth of this nation are being taught perversity. I saw none of that in your comment, sad to say.

I hope you continue to read the blog and please feel free to comment anytime. However be aware also that I will always firmly stand on the bible and repeat what Jesus said about all the blessings, promises, and also the judgments He has said will come.

  7. People MUST stand up against this. Take your kids out of these schools, and just say NO to the gay agenda. Wake up straight people!

  8. L, who has also read the BibleApril 16, 2011 at 4:42 PM

And when asking forgiveness for your sins, sir, have you sacrificed a lamb, or a dove, or a pigeon if you can't afford the former, and splashed its blood on all four sides of the altar, and properly divided its parts, or got your priest to do so for you, and offered the correct portion to God?

    See: the rest of Leviticus.

  10. Anonymous,

You invoked part of a verse out of context, the John 8:7 full verse says "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." so, are you saying that we no one should ever say that homosexuality is a sin? Hmmm.

Your Leviticus comment -- We shall be saved by the blood of Jesus, which is already spilled and covers all who ask for forgiveness of sins.

  12. What if someone doesn't PRACTICE homosexuality but has the urges? In society, people that have the homosexual urges are labeled homosexuals not just people who practice it. By the world's definition, I would be labeled bisexual but in Christ I am a righteous child of God cleansed of all sins. At the end of the day, anyone who is not saved is going to hell.

I had had alot of gay friends in the past and the rationale they have is that they are going to hell because they HAVE homosexual urges and they are 1,000% convinced they cannot be separated from these feelings...I wish the church wasn't so sensitive about the topic of homosexuality apart from being grossed out by it. People are not aware that homosexuality is not a worse sin than lying...and that once we come to Christ we are not under the power of sin anymore although we will struggle with it because we are still in these bodies. You can still have these urges BUT you can surrender them to the obedience of Christ who has conquered them. Christ who will never be disgusted at a person for the urge and will always be their strength and comfort. I came to this realization ON MY OWN even though I was raised in the church. Thank God for Christ...He can save anyone.

I'm not trying to refute anything you said Elizabeth and I'm just trying to continue the conversation I guess. I agree with you and what others have said. There's a serious gay agenda out there and we need to speak out about it and speak out about God's judgment and His love and way of salvation from ALL sins through Jesus Christ.

  13. Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing that :) I applaud you for resisting sinful urges- whatever they may entail, lust in homosexuality, anger, lying whatever. If we confess the sinful thoughts as well as the sinful actions, and He will cleanse us, save us, and send the spirit to help us resist them. He promises the strength for victory over sin!!

Even after salvation, we need to always confess sins and appeal for help in ever greater resistance to homosexual thoughts and actions.

  14. Hey good article. Just to touch God Judging nations, America specifically (as I'm American) but it applies to all nations.

I used to think that God allowed his people to wander around the desert for 40 years for disobedience. I mean, yes it was because they were disobedient. But as I studied more, God opened my eyes to realise that he was basically waiting until the disobedient generation had all died off. All those who originally left Egypt with Moses were still in the slave-of-Egypt mindset (which you can consider to be a worldly mind-set, lacking in God's commandments).

We should take this story, not as a great story of how God kept his people alive for 40 years, but how God trimmed the fat because his people forgot his ways.

America is in jeopardy of the same fate if we continue on this path.

  15. God is love.

Homosexuality is a form of love.

You people are misguided. God is calling out to you to throw away your prejudices and hatred, which have been instilled in you by a weak and hateful society.

When two people fall in love, God becomes greater and stronger. The gender of those people is irrelevant, as is your personal view of homosexuality.

I feel sorry for you, and I will pray that you will come to understand the error of your hateful ways before it is too late for you.

    Love,

    Matthew

  16. Matthew, that was a really great job of succinctly subverting the Gospel!

God is love. However, you forgot to mention God is HOLY. He condemned homosexuality along with other sins and no sinner will EVER get into heaven without repenting.

God has standards for behavior. He also told us what the consequences would be for abandoning those standards. He also told us the remedy for breaking them. And in His LOVE, He left it up to us to decide what we will do. It looks like you reject His standards, so along with God being love, being holy, God is just, and you will pay the stated penalty.

If you have a problem with the standards and practices commanded in the bible, talk to the One who set them: God, not me.

Please don't pray for me. It will not do any good, for in your rejection of His Word, He will not answer you.

1Pet, 3:12, "For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears attend to their prayer, But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
